Neely Spence Gracey
Head Coach

@neelysgracey

Neely brings the unique perspective of both an elite athlete and a busy working mom to her coaching. As a five-time Team USA representative, including appearances at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships and the Pan American Games, and an eight-time NCAA Division II National Champion, she understands what it takes to perform at the highest level. But she also knows that for most runners, training has to fit alongside careers, families, and everyday life.

After becoming the top American at the 2016 Boston Marathon, breaking 70 minutes in the half marathon as just the 11th American woman to do so, and later returning from having two children to run a personal best of 2:30 in the marathon, Neely has experienced every stage of a runner's journey; from chasing podiums to balancing ambitious goals with the demands of motherhood and work. She is currently training for her fifth Olympic Trials while raising three boys and continuing to grow her coaching business.

Through Get Running Coaching, Neely has coached more than 1,000 athletes, helping runners of all abilities achieve personal bests, qualify for major races, and build sustainable training habits. She has also shared her wisdom with the running community with her book Breakthrough Women’s Running. Her coaching philosophy is simple: running should enhance your life, not take it over. She creates individualized training that works with each athlete's schedule, helping them pursue big goals without sacrificing family, career, or the things that matter most.

Whether you're training for your first 5K, chasing a marathon PR, or learning how to fit running into a full life, Neely combines elite-level knowledge with practical coaching to help you become a stronger, healthier, and more confident runner.
