Coach Lauren

@thefoodierunner_

Lauren grew up in Hopkinton, Massachusetts - the start line of the Boston Marathon. She fell in love with running by watching the race each year and that early inspiration sparked a lifelong passion for the sport.

Lauren was recruited to run at Pepperdine University, which brought her to California, where she still lives today with her husband (who she met on the team) and their 3 daughters. She now serves as the Head Coach of Cross Country and Track at Pepperdine, in addition to her role with GRC.

Lauren competed in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and is currently training to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Marathon Trials after having her 3rd daughter within days of the 2024 Trials. She is also pursuing personal bests at every distance from the mile to the marathon before turning 40 in a few years.

In addition to her own training, Lauren is passionate about helping other runners reach their full potential. She is a USATF certified coach and works primarily with women of all abilities—especially those chasing sub-3 hour marathons and Olympic Trials qualifying standards. She also has a special passion for coaching mothers, helping them balance high-level training with the demands of everyday life.

Lauren brings both elite experience and real-life perspective to her coaching, helping athletes pursue big goals while building a sustainable, lifelong love of running.
